August To Focus On Senior Eye Health
(Fayetteville, North Carolina)—The Carolina Inn has announced a new series of on-site events to educate seniors on health and wellness topics, hosted at the assisted living community in the heart of the Village Green neighborhood in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
The first event will be held on Thursday, August 26th at 2:30 p.m. followed by a social with refreshments and music in The Carolina Inn’s Bistro at 3:30 p.m. To coincide with National Eye Exam month in August, the theme will be eye health and aging. The Carolina Inn will welcome local eye care professionals to provide vision testing for attendees. Chef Brad Itzkowitz will create a special menu showcasing eye healthy foods. Guests can take home tips highlighting nutritional and dietary information as well as activities to support senior eye wellness.
Presented as part of the 2021 Assisted Living Insight Series, August’s eye health event will be the first hosted at The Carolina Inn now that COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted for senior living communities. It provides an opportunity for seniors, their families and caregivers to visit the property and experience firsthand its resort-style ambiance, boutique charm and southern hospitality while learning about the effects of aging on vision.
